Well, its been a glorious 6 years hasn't it? I started playing Quake 3 single player in the summer of 2002 when my brother-in-law gave me a burned copy. I loved the game, but I didn't think i could play online because i had dial up. Well, I ended up beating the single player and just simply got bored with it. Well about a year later in the fall I found it again and decided to give the Multiplayer a shot. At the time i was using KILLER in all white as my name, but i could only find All Weapons servers and when you have a ping of 350 its pretty difficult to hit anyone. Well eventually I found KFC: NOGHOSTNOCHEAT slow Rail server. I played against people like Psycho KFC, Kamikaze, especia (who got tired of calling me METALLICAT one day so called me CAT for the first time), some of the most amazing players in the game.

   One night in KFCs server i was playing with this guy named [RIP]Cracked-Sob and a kid named ORRB. Cracked liked how both of us played and asked us to post on RIPs clan forum as a Trial. Orrb never did, but i posted 350 times in 3 days and got into the clan. But there was already a guy in the clan named KILLER([DR]Killer), so I took my name that i use now from the back of METALLICA's Garage Inc. Album. The members were dressed up in lounge lizard suits and it said “METALLICATS playing nightly!” Soon we RIP built up a reputation for being a fairly decent clan, playing clans like KFC, TVG, and UE in their early days, and groups like FAKE and KC. Most of you wouldn't know any of the members in RIP today besides myself and DaZz, HALO from oNu. Well after awhile some things got heated and there was a huge power struggle, so RIP ended up dieing, but not before {GD} the clan everyone knows today was Formed. Railzombie one of my closest friends was the Leader of both RIP and GD. Unfortunately I was a little hurt by how everyone just abandoned RIP so i didn't go to GD right away, i played solo for awhile and then eventually sucked it up and joined {GD}.

   {GD}got a reputation for not really being a skilled clan, but more of a Clan that was fun to play with, didn't talk crap, and just wanted to have fun. Throughout the years we have had some of the best players in Quake come in and out of GD and a lot of them have become really close and personal friends. Some of them include: East, MarX, Dadon, Railzombie, ^Sadness, Kle, Ace, and Solidsnake

   Well as some of you may or may not no, its official. {GD} is dead, however some members are still wearing the tag. I myself have moved on to -UE-, by request from my good friend PoliceState.

   The one thing i like about Quake, is the community. We are all close in one way or another. We spark long lasting friendships from oceans away, make plans to one day visit places that you might have once never even heard about. I like to think that this game was the best thing to happen to me. If i hadn't of started to play this game and meet all my close friends, i don't think i would have done anything with my life. I know it sounds ridiculous, but its the truth. My friends on here have helped me through some tough times. With out you all I don't know where id be. I have to many people to name, because if you were ever nice to me in the game, or said hello, your my friend and i your all close to my heart.

   However i would like to make a special thank you to East. He has been my best friend for several years and we have helped each other out of various predicaments. I love that Smelly Indian, and i hope we stay friends for along time.
